Kenneth Pirtle retired from teaching photography at Amarillo College after 33 years. Professor Pirtle also served as chairman of the Visual Arts Department. In April of 2018 he was named Professor Emeritus at Amarillo College. His areas of teaching expertise included Adobe Photoshop, the History of Photography, Alternative Photographic processes , traditional and digital photography.
Since retirement, he has been active in various creative pursuits.
